Nyaya Theory of Creation, God and Proofs for the Existence of God
God
- Nyaya accepts the metaphysical theories of Vaisesika, as a result, the accounts of matter, souls, and God are almost the same in both the schools.
- Nyaya like Vaisesika accepts the theory of asat-karyavada theory of creation.
- According to the theory, the effect (karya) does not pre-exist (asat) in the cause. So, creation is always a new beginning. It is a fresh creation. As a result, it is also called Arambhavada.

Visesha
- Visesha or particularity is the fifth category of dravya or substance.
- Visesha as the name suggests means exclusivity.
- It is also regarded as the basis of discrimination or differentiation.
- In other words, it helps us to perceive things differently or different from one another.
- It is exclusive in nature.
- Whereas, generality forms the basis of assimilation. Visesha is the complete opposite of it.
- Vaisesika being a realist school believes in both, quantitative and qualitative plurality.
