• Many ancient Greek philosophers regarded Sophia as an ‘exalted epistemic good. ’ The term was used by various philosophers in various forms, such as, some regarded it as morally or practically oriented while others considered it to be an epistemic element, and some conceived it as an intellectual virtue, aggregating the moral and epistemic dimensions of the key notion Sophia.
