Judiciary Before 1774
Two courts of Judicature was established in each district:
- Mufsil Dewani Adalat or provincial court which deals with civil cases. This was presided by the Collector.
- Fauzdari Adalat which deals with all crimes and punishment. This court was presided by Qazi and Mufti of the district and two Maulvis.
