  • Originally this dynasty was founded by the grandfather of Bimbisara, but actually the real establisher of the dynasty was Bimbisara.
  • The initial capital was Rajagriha, later it was shifted to Pataliputra.
  • Magadha came into prominence under the leadership of Bimbisara.
  • This dynasty lasted till 413BC, when it was overthrown by Shishunaga Dynasty.
