Pseudo-Allele
- Pseudo-allelism is a state in which two genes with similar functions are located so close to one another on a chromosome that they are genetically linked
- It is a term given by Morgan 1928 and Lewis 1948
- This means that the two genes are nearly always inherited together. Since the two genes have related functions, they may appear to act as a single gene
- In rare cases, the two linked pseudo alleles can be separated, or recombined. One hypothesis is that pseudo alleles are formβ¦

Capping: Structure, Capping Process, Targeting, Function of the 5β² Cap, MRNA Capping in the Eukaryotes
Introduction
The five-prime cap (5β² cap), which is a particularly modified-nucleotide on the 5β² end of several primary transcripts like precursor messenger RNA.
This tightly controlled process commonly referred to as mRNA capping, is important for producing mature, stable messenger RNA that can be translated during the protein synthesis.
The chloroplast and mitochondria mRNA do not have caps.
Transcription and translation take place in the cytoplasm and nucleus, respectively,β¦
