Among the lysosomes, plasma membrane Golgi, and trans-Golgi network (TGN), it has a sorting function. Through the biosynthetic and endocytic membrane transport pathways, endosomes transport materials such as proteins and lipids from Golgi to vacuoles.

Hydrogen Some: Evolutionary Significance

Illustration for Title: Hydrogen Some
  • An anaerobic hydrogen some is an organelle that is surrounded by its own membrane and may be found in some flagellates, ciliates, and fungi. In anaerobic settings, molecular hydrogen and ATP are produced by organelles known as hydro-genosomes. These organelles are very diverse and are thought to have developed from protomitochondria.
